Offered to hardcore Game Of Thrones fans is a 1:1 scale Iron Throne. This replica is hand crafted using 8 actual swords that were molded and cast in resin. The entire surface of the throne is covered in PVC blades and cast resin hilts. All heat formed, bent, contoured and textured as if a dragon did indeed melt them into this work of art! This throne, based on a sturdy 3/4" plywood form, measures 80" in height, was designed to be as close to the original look and feel but also be able to fit through a standard 36" doorway which is a big factor! The finish is an automotive texture primer topped with a catalyzed automotive top coat in a dark gun metal color with slight bronze and gold accents on the swords, comparable to a car finish, very durable, NOT spray paint! Heavy glazes, spatter, dry brushing and other artisan techniques are used to add the final touches making it look very realistic. A true homage to the original. Of course these are made to order, they do takes months to complete so you must be patient through the process, it will be worth it!
